Sinful Colors Cinderella & Spring Glitter Blizzard!

I am so tickled that I found the Sinful Colors Cinderella, because I love it!
At any rate, I thought I would try it over white since it seemed so sheer...

2 coats of SC Cinderella over 1 coat Orly Softest White

This was a restful color to wear...I don't know how else to say it. It glowed and played pink peek-a-boo but it felt heavenly to wear....

After I took that off...and only because it started chipping...I decided on something more rowdy :0)

I want some shiny sun and green growing things, so I decided I needed some shine on my nails...

2 coats of Essence Break Through with 3 different glitter polishes: Spoiled Papa-Paparazzi, Wet N Wild Hallucinate and un-named Sally Girl silver glitter. The first picture of the Essence polish is the most color-accurate---a pink-ish purple and very pretty.

Yikes, Shield your eyes!

It was hard to get the silver glitter to show without glaring or looking black, but see if these pictures work...

Ok, I am done with the spam-fest. I hope your weather is lovely and your friends and family are close. Take care!!

Just a few not-so-fabulous manis

Hey there...I have made several frankens lately, with some glitter I bought online. Unfortunately, I think the glitter was not solvent-resistant, so they turned into goo. I realized this after I put the frankens on over base colors...
3 coats of pretty polish + 1 coat of crappy, melty goo = ruined mani!

Consequently, my nails have been a mess...here are the second-chance manis...I think I have learned my lesson!

This was 3 coats of a franken inspired by Nerd Lacquer's polishes....This one turned out very nice, but a little plain-the glitter didn't show through the color very nicely...

Please forgive the oiled up cuticles...

Two coats of Orly Bailamos...Very lovely but not as flashy as it looked in the bottle, so I dressed it up (below) with a good franken topcoat...
Much better!

Wet N Wild, Lavender Creme (!?) 2 coats (who the heck named this?!)

(This is what I am wearing now...after my Sinful Colors Last Chance green turned into gooey muck...there might be staining that I missed--ugh!)

2 coats of Icing Sipping On Bubbly. This was a bad move-blegh! I don't know what it is, but this mani bugs the heck out of me and it needs to come OFF!!

And a small happy dance is in order...I did find Sinful Colors Cinderella...YAY!...it is mine and it is so cool!
And finally~

Happy Birthday with Ozotic 534!

Yup, today is my birthday and my family has spoiled me. I am extremely lucky and feeling only moderately old, hehehehehe!
I went to my mom-in-law's house to help her with her young alpacas and trim their hooves. The alpacas are about a year and a half old, and getting to be quite bundle of fleece! What made me feel pretty darn good, was being able to get the larger alpaca (aka Tom Sawyer) down to the ground with minimum fuss when my 21 year old daughter could not...YAY for Moms with Muscle!!

OK, I will get on to the mani *grins cheesily*
My present to me...Ozotic 534 over black . Whoo-Hoo! Thank-Heaven for llarowe.com! That site is amazing!
1 coat SH Black Out, 1 coat of Ozotic 534...sit back and drool...

Under artificial (Ott) lighting, above..

With a little bit of natural light, above and below. You can see one of the offset colors. It really didn't give me lobster/corpse fingers...my camera simply didn't know WHAT to make of actual sunshine this time of year hehehehe....

OK...below-what happens to an awesome birthday mani after wrestling outside in the cold with spitting alpacas (yes, they really DO spit). However, they are so darn adorable, I can ignore that...
Not bad, really...I expected a broken fingernail, to be honest. This is long for my nails. So thanks to Loodie and all the other awesome bloggers that have helped me gain stronger nails and better looking hands!

Spoiled Designated Driver + Flakies!

No, I don't think I am crazy but if you have seen this color in the bottle...you might be giving this post the hairy eyeball...

I walked past the Spoiled display after Christmas and said, "meh" but then I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and get something totally different....check 'er out!

This is like the weirdest/coolest color to me, lol. I couldn't figure it out until I had it on for a few days...it looks like cooked squash! LOL, Now you can call me loony!
Look familiar?! ROFL! I fell in love with this color when I was learning how to spin (make yarn from wool). Same darn color. I just about snorted, I laughed so hard when I realized. You know you have a problem when you are seeing a potential franken in beautiful yarns or thinking of how to make a cool yarn that looks like your favorite polish...GAH, I am a nut!

Above, with 2 coats of FP Asylum.....too FEW flakies for the look I envisioned....

Ah, there we go. I added a nice coat of Golden Rose Scale Effect! I wanted the purplish flakes to jump out more. I Adored how this looked, weird as it might seem. It made me happy. Ah, so distracting driving in the sunlight...

Oh, Baby! (spam alert)

I found Pure Ice Oh Baby at Walmart purely by chance and I loved it on sigh...reminded me of Pure Ice Busted and Pure Ice Heartbreaker. All 3 are lovely, sparkly layering topcoats.

I layered this lovely polish over Catrice New York (thank-you for this polish, Buzzwheedle!).

2 coats of CNY
Egh...dry fingers...obviously no moisturizers...

One coat of Pure Ice Oh, Baby

Under the Ott light, above...Below...trying to catch that elusive pink sparkle..but wow, even in low light it sparkles amazingly...

YAY! I caught the pink! lookie....

Click on these and check out the close-up

Here is the bottle shot...this polish is so amazing!

Franken Quick Change!

I couldn't leave my last franken on my nails... 1) It changed the pretty blue too much and 2) Not enough sparkle/glitter :0)

So I decided to switch to a franken gray color and a franken neutral-purple glitter.

One coat of my gray franken....on my really atrocious-looking right hand...ok, it could be worse, but not a lot...

Then 2 coats of my neutral-purple glitter franken

So, I had to look close, but I guess I did put black glitter in this...

Also, I put in some (pinkish) glitter you can see below in the close-up version, that made me think "black cherry" because it had an offset look to it that was almost black. Cool glitter that I got from Jo Ann's Fabric. White holo hex glitter, silver holo bar glitter and some other pretties...

Here are my two frankens above...

And the purple glitter franken over Orly Charged Up, next to the franken alone...you can see more detail here!

I was really pleased with how this turned out...I was inspired by Lynderells'a frankens, since it looks like I will never have one, hahaha!!

My take on Clarins 230

I don't claim to be a frankening genius, but I was pretty pleased with how this franken turned out...even if it doesn't really look like Clarins 230, the famed Unicorn Pee.....

I was a Franken Maniac last week and made 2 versions of this but liked this one best. I started with Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue, 2 coats...so pretty on its own! Some of these might have topcoat, I didn't keep track...sorry!

After I got done sighing over this pretty blue, I added my franken, which I haven't named yet...
1 coat...

I am trying a video for the first time, so bear with me!

OK...I think it worked, but please forgive the weird ambient sounds going on in the background! I thought I had applied some music to the video to hide the sound of incoming e-mail on my phone, but it disappeared.....
Let me know what you think!
