So I went a little stamp-crazy....

I really love how this turned out! I used the new Sinful Shine Wisp, stamped with Konad pink over my ring finger and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Twisted Pink as a base on all others. Wisp was my white stamping polish-I think it worked really well for this :) I played around with my pinks to get a match for the Konad pink, but still not perfect lol!
So what do you think?! Too much? I had loads of compliments on this mani and it was unique enough that it didn't bore me...which is saying something for me! I usually do my nails Sunday night and then again on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the wear. I can't stand any level of chipping. Now for the pics!

Here's what else I've been doing...
Strawberries from my daughter's strawberry plant ^^^
Ceramics that thankfully did NOT blow up in the kiln, below...

And my poor Nova freaking out from fireworks, finally stopped clawing at the walls....

Yup, she crawled into that tiny crevice next to the couch all by herself...

Crumpet's tri-polish Challenge

Yes, I am afraid I finally caved and decided to try a nail challenge...right about 10:00 last night I was thinking it was a big mistake...but after seeing some of these...I have more ideas, lol! The challenge is on this link The Crumpet . Here was my first day:

I used Pure Ice Wild Thing, A England Elaine and Sally Hansen Rouge Red...

It was kind of fun, but truly, I don't know how to properly use a striping brush, lol! My line started out narrow and progressed in thickness....ugh! I've always been a chicken to try one of these challenges, but this is a pretty laid-back thing...I might be able to handle this one! Check out all the other lovely manis below!!

Welcome to My Zoo!

We are indeed Blessed. I received a call late last week from a lady that had Goliath at her house-He had been living feral and was trying to adopt her home/critters! I zipped up there so fast, I was like greased lighting! He was about 3 miles away and across a mani river from us....

I was so shocked and surprised I couldn't even cry until later-He had been missing for almost 3 months, and here he was back home:0) We took him to the vet and he was surprisingly unharmed...2.5 pounds lighter, a broken canine tooth (a low fever) and very freaked out. Pics below...

First night home...growled and purred while he ate...growled at EVERYONE!

After seeing the vet and after some normalizing-Happy as a clam on my bed!

He was not happy about Rowan, but he is teaching her some manners, lol! All three on my daughter's loft bed...Dove was freaking thrilled to see him but not happy to share the moment with Rowan-note the ears, lol!
The even better news...it took him all of 3 days to start his normal habits again, like his spot on our bed, expecting his food dish to be in a particular place and all that stuff cats do :-D

OK, mani time and a wee bit of spam...
I had this crazy urge to try a mani I had seen on Pinterest ( I do have an account there under Gott, come visit!)...so here is my version!
Rainbow stripes under black! I used the skinny striping tape for this...I have been waiting like crazy to try this!

Below, my thumb...this took way too damn long but so cool looking! it makes me happy, lol!

More mani spami....
Below, one of my new Etsy polishes, called Glacier...the blue shimmer is not as "out there" as I would like...

And below, Secret Galaxy over Glacier...DROOL!

Another new polish of mine... Moon Shadow over black...Purple lovers, drool!

And the last of the bunch for this year, Bat Crap Crazy (2 coats) long story, it's a phrase our current Governor uses, lol....

What do you think...spammed out yet?! And YAHOO for good critter news!

Playing catch-up!

I plan on spamming everyone with many pictures, lol! Hope no one minds-if you are curious about a polish and I haven't listed it...ask, and I shall find what I used!

First hmmm, maybe my pink/Breast Cancer Awareness manis... I know, October is over, but they were still great manis!

Above, Sally Hansen Twisted Pink with  diluted Nina Ultra Pro holo topcoat that spoke to me...
That's the full-strength version below, with my new all time Zoya Holy Grail topcoat. If you have bought any of these new NUP polishes in this different bottle...the brush is unbelievably HUGE! My poor skinny pinkie was swamped...

The Polish Hoochie introduced me to the Seche Ultra V-Best thing for slow drying Zoyas---I can now really love Zoyas!

Below, I can't remember if this was Sinful Colors...but I think it is...pretty slate gray with a blue-ish sheen to it. I stamped over it using LeaLAC stamping plates and Konad special pink stamping polish
Below... I think I used the diluted NUP holo polish (above)...not totally sure, though...But I liked it!
Below, my very first successful water marble!! Whoo-hoo! I used my 6Harts Secret Galaxy for the blue you see. I know I used my dotting tool a bit much, but that is ok, I guess, I was very proud of the result!
One last mani...My best friend gave me a Zoya that just  wasn't her color (not sure I believe her!) and here is my mani for the fist time using the Seche Ultra V....this was stamp-able in under 10 minutes, I was SO happy! Such a vibrant color, I thought, but clean-up was bugger...

Ok, slide show over...I hope you liked these!

Random Bits of Insanity....

WOW, has it really been so long...it has! I have done lots of manis...haven't posted them, but here are several to either like or not! Mouhahahahaaa! After, an update on other things if you are interested...

Brown franken of mine...holo brown, yummmm...

WOW, this one is an old one! I can't remember the colors I used but the gorgeous sparkly one was a gift from my lovely friend Saundie...my partner in polish addiction, that is, lol!

Below...*sigh* I LOVE A England's Elaine....and I love Lynderella's Change. Are you drooling yet?

Really? Help you with the rusty truck brakes right after I started my nails?! Yes, I did indeed help and only had to re-do one nail, hahahahaha, I am that good!
I made this franken after seeing some similar ones online and seeing ABOP's white franken-decided I had to have my own. I am totally groovin on this white jelly w/glitter look!

Catherine Arley-have no idea of the name, it was a swap gift from Lovely Buzzwheedle!
This was my first attempt at decals, and I totally muffed it, they only stayed on 1 day and then just popped off-topcoat and all. Let me know if you can actually tell what the pictures are, hahahahaa...not my best work, but fun! My hubby thought it was cool-score!

OK, update time...I have polishes and jewelry up on etsy---fun!

Other news-husband is doing well-but heart has not recovered as much as we hoped after his surgery in April. That is OK, though-he feels SO much better and it will take time. He is back to working and just had a defibrillator surgically put in and was home from the hospital after less than 24 hours. If you ever want information on this bizarre/fun topic of heart health...just e-mail me. If I could stand for more than an hour comfortably, I would have gone to nursing school :0) Medical stuff has always been fascinating to me and I did go into a medically-related field in college.

Thanks for sticking with me when I haven't posted much, and reading my craziness...I shall post again sooner! No more teens in the home, so I get my computer back, YAY!
*HUGS*

Head Trip!

I have my Nail Mojo back, I think.... I sat down to do something plain jane with pink...not having much in mind and came up with this mani, and I adore it!

I called this "Head Trip" because, OK, I grew up in the 70's and it seemed like everyone talked about drugs. This made me think of all the songs and talk about acid trips. Never did it, but it brought to mind those memories....psychedelic craziness! Don't get me wrong...I am not promoting drugs of any kind!!
OK, Nuff said....enjoy the spam!

 Duochrome loveliness, yes?!

The guilty parties.... Sally Hansen Twisted Pink, LA Colors-sheerish purple (can't remember the name), Rimmel purple/blue duochrome and these awesome little Sally Girl Gold Glitters....

May your loved ones be healthy and happy, and may your Nail Mojo never leave you....

Brocade Mani (spam alert!)

Hmmm, this mani was inspired by ABOP's post here.... I don't have any deep dark pinks...so I winged it, so to speak :0) The end result of this experiment is shown in all of its hot glory below, hahahaha!
I started with a nail polish brand that I know nothing about-you will see the bottle. I picked up the set at Ross and the base color is Hibiscus!

The colors aren't "true" in the above picture... but close.

Above...under an Ott light. Below in the light box...

2 coats of Hibiscus...somewhere between red-garnet in my mind, but it is lovely and the formula was surprisingly nice. 1st coat was streaky 2nd was heaven...

The next addition was Essie Shine of the Times...Wow, the flakies are dense in this stuff!

Almost left it like this...but I really wanted to try ABOP's look....so I was brave....

I used one of the newer Bundle Monster plates and Sally Hansen Cinnamon Chrome (not 100% positive on the color name)
I started with a cool color, warm flakies in between, and stamped with a cool color again. I think it is a success but it bugs my OCD gene just enough that I am not sure if I'm crazy or not on this one...

It reminds me of rich, red brocade fabric. The stamping over the top give it a lot of texture and the shifting flakies add to that even more. I found these pictures online...

What do you think, success or not?! Let me know what you think!

Random Mani Spam-Fest part 2

Here are some more random mani pictures....Life is still incredibly busy, so nothing truly exceptional here....just enough to keep me sane (well...maybe)

They are listed from the top, newest down to the bottom, from at least a week or so ago...

Ultra subtle stamping over 2 coats of A-England Dragon. I used my Konad special stamping polish....I was either screwed with this purchase or got a bad bottle, because it is VERY sheer for color.

It showed up fairly well in the light box but was almost imperceptible on the nail in real life...ah well....

Pure Ice, Oh Baby over Orly Le Chateau...great combo, but too dark for the gorgeous sunny weather, so it only lasted a day, hahahaha!

2 Coats of  Spectraflair franken I made...so stunning in the sun!! I love a good blue polish....

And finally...Yes, I did wear this (below) at the hospital...it was raining for 2 days straight and I NEEDED sunshine!!
2 coats of Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow , with Finger Paints Asylum over the top....I love flakies over bright yellow!
Take care and enjoy the spring weather if you have it in your area!
