Another Mani Spam-Fest!

Not going to apologize this time...especially since it sounds like mani spam is a GOOD thing!

My Esty store is finally picking up, but that means a bit less time for fun blogging, lol! The jewelry isn't selling, but that's ok...it will be mine if it doesn't go, lol...(that is the biggest benefit of making your own jewelry!)

This is what I am wearing right now...First time trying the stripe-ing tape, and I am loving it...
Orly Winter Wonderland over white...pure heaven.
I was so happy with how this turned out-below, my right hand even turned out good!

Next......
Two of my polishes sponged over black....I was playing with the stripeing tape...not very noticeable, though...

Below, Sinful Colors Slate...yummy color, but I couldn't leave it alone....
I sponged half..I was going to try some crazy ass design stamped down the middle...

Stamped...not well, and I stamped over the silver with the blue-green that I used for sponging...meh...

Below, Zoya Gaia, 2 coats of loveliness...

Now, for one of my lemmings...Candeo Mallard-Stunning, especially over Gaia. You can see the gold underneath *sigh*

Under regular light....*sigh*
OK, Kitten pics...

Playing catch-up!

I plan on spamming everyone with many pictures, lol! Hope no one minds-if you are curious about a polish and I haven't listed it...ask, and I shall find what I used!

First hmmm, maybe my pink/Breast Cancer Awareness manis... I know, October is over, but they were still great manis!

Above, Sally Hansen Twisted Pink with  diluted Nina Ultra Pro holo topcoat that spoke to me...
That's the full-strength version below, with my new all time Zoya Holy Grail topcoat. If you have bought any of these new NUP polishes in this different bottle...the brush is unbelievably HUGE! My poor skinny pinkie was swamped...

The Polish Hoochie introduced me to the Seche Ultra V-Best thing for slow drying Zoyas---I can now really love Zoyas!

Below, I can't remember if this was Sinful Colors...but I think it is...pretty slate gray with a blue-ish sheen to it. I stamped over it using LeaLAC stamping plates and Konad special pink stamping polish
Below... I think I used the diluted NUP holo polish (above)...not totally sure, though...But I liked it!
Below, my very first successful water marble!! Whoo-hoo! I used my 6Harts Secret Galaxy for the blue you see. I know I used my dotting tool a bit much, but that is ok, I guess, I was very proud of the result!
One last mani...My best friend gave me a Zoya that just  wasn't her color (not sure I believe her!) and here is my mani for the fist time using the Seche Ultra V....this was stamp-able in under 10 minutes, I was SO happy! Such a vibrant color, I thought, but clean-up was bugger...

Ok, slide show over...I hope you liked these!

Miscellaneous Manis-the Good & the Bad!

Well, I got a bit behind on things again-lots of forest fires in our state/nearby states and the smoky air seems to be taking its toll on my energy...Blegh!

So I will barrage you with some of my recent Yuks and Yays...
First is bad...very bad, but I couldn't put my finger on any one thing---it was everything, hahahaa!

Started out great, Loving this cool neutral! Should have left "well enough" alone...

OK, Bad move...stamping sucked and then I wanted to try out a new polish of mine over this stamping...just yuk! It stayed on for a full day-that was all I could take of this combo!

OK, Next one...Operator Error, not the polish's fault. Lovely Contrary Polish, Purple Smoke. STUNNING polish, actually...

Lovely shimmers, Grurple came to mind, because it is grey, blue and purple all at once, but my application sucked and I rushed things-bubbles from too thick of coats. I will try 3 very thin coats next time-this was 2 thick layers. Even though my application stunk, I didn't want to remove this one...lovely...

Girly Bits Cu Blue-O MY this makes me literally drool...I'm not a fan of Jellies, but this color  talked to me (screamed, actually) so I bought it. copper sparkles peek out of a yummy deep blue. This is 2 coats and I really could care less that I have VNL. On my accent finernail is Finger Paints Fall of Surprises and was was too intense/dense, but I had not tried this one before, so maybe I am forgiven?
This pic below was the best I have taken in a long time..in the car, after work, hahahah! Are you drooling?
I bought Girly Bits Cu Blue and Contrary Polish Purple Smoke from Llarowe.
This next one was fun...but a pain to remove...but sooo fun and pretty!
2 coats of NYC french mani white, 1 coats of Pretty & Polished Sand Art, 3 (yes, 3!) coats of SV....
You might not be able to tell....I am still playing around with my next, new polish(accent finger)--testing and trying to decide if I need to tweak it before I make enough to bottle and sell...
(Can you see the shimmer on my accent/ring finger?)

Let me know what you think of these- I love some of the indies and I love trying my own brand and comparing them to what is out there...There are some very talented people out there making polish right now, but do your research, a friend of mine has had some bad experiences with indies-not many, but some....
*hugs* take care all-enjoy your weather and clean air if you have it!!

Random Bits of Insanity....

WOW, has it really been so long...it has! I have done lots of manis...haven't posted them, but here are several to either like or not! Mouhahahahaaa! After, an update on other things if you are interested...

Brown franken of mine...holo brown, yummmm...

WOW, this one is an old one! I can't remember the colors I used but the gorgeous sparkly one was a gift from my lovely friend Saundie...my partner in polish addiction, that is, lol!

Below...*sigh* I LOVE A England's Elaine....and I love Lynderella's Change. Are you drooling yet?

Really? Help you with the rusty truck brakes right after I started my nails?! Yes, I did indeed help and only had to re-do one nail, hahahahaha, I am that good!
I made this franken after seeing some similar ones online and seeing ABOP's white franken-decided I had to have my own. I am totally groovin on this white jelly w/glitter look!

Catherine Arley-have no idea of the name, it was a swap gift from Lovely Buzzwheedle!
This was my first attempt at decals, and I totally muffed it, they only stayed on 1 day and then just popped off-topcoat and all. Let me know if you can actually tell what the pictures are, hahahahaa...not my best work, but fun! My hubby thought it was cool-score!

OK, update time...I have polishes and jewelry up on etsy---fun!

Other news-husband is doing well-but heart has not recovered as much as we hoped after his surgery in April. That is OK, though-he feels SO much better and it will take time. He is back to working and just had a defibrillator surgically put in and was home from the hospital after less than 24 hours. If you ever want information on this bizarre/fun topic of heart health...just e-mail me. If I could stand for more than an hour comfortably, I would have gone to nursing school :0) Medical stuff has always been fascinating to me and I did go into a medically-related field in college.

Thanks for sticking with me when I haven't posted much, and reading my craziness...I shall post again sooner! No more teens in the home, so I get my computer back, YAY!
*HUGS*

Lynderella Love, Part 1

Ahhh, my name finally came up in the llarowe site wishlist process....The day before Mother's Day I got the best nail mail!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get everything on my wishlist because of recent medical stuff (imagine that...no pay when I don't work!), but I DID get 4 lovelies. I told my husband he could call that my mommy's day present and you know what he said? "We'll call it your nursing fee", Hahahhaa!!
What a doll-definitely a keeper when he buys me Lynderellas for sticking by him when he was sick!

Yay!...on to the pretty spam-fest! You've seen these before probably, but these are my first/only Lynderellas.
The first one I used was Gotta Love Brains. I had NO idea it had a purple shimmer! I used Pure Ice Silver Mercedes underneath, and 2 coats of GLB:

I didn't plan for those cool, big ass glitters to be right next to each other, lol! But I was not talented enough to pluck the one off and place it elsewhere...

Get a look at that purple/pink shimmer! I love that stuff! This one is so fun and funky and subtle at the same time. Not too crazy for work and this stuff has a great formula, by the way...I was pleasantly suprised!
If you are looking for these-be patient. The wishlist system through llarowe is slow but sure. I put my WL in to Leah Ann in February and would have had every item in April- it took 2 months but worth it. The polish scalpers on e-bay kind of piss me off.....

First Magnetic Mani

OK, ignore my crappy magnet job and check out the color combination....

2 Coats of Essence Steel Me (in a trade from lovely Buzzwheedle)...in retrospect, I would have done better using a close color for the undies and 1 thicker coat of the magnetic polish.

But here we go...like I said, ignore my lousy magnet work. 1 coat of Pure Ice, Oh Baby over the top...

Some of my nails have such a sharp C-curve that I only got striping across the arches.
 Pink duochrome shimmer...*sigh*

I picked up a China glaze magnet from Sally Beauty Supply, and they work tolerably well, but I still want to play with making my own. 1 coat of Out The Door over the top glossed this mani right up!
I really love how the combination of textures and colors looks....might get me through the wimpy lines, hehehehe! What do you think? I know not everyone like magnetic polishes...but I love the options plus the metallic aspect...love me some metallic polish!

Whimsical VS Voodoo Doll

WOW...2 diametrically different manis in my opinion...You will have to tell me which one YOU like best :0)

First- Revlon Whimsical.  I used a very pretty but PIA franken for the undies on this one. My very first franken and  a pain to apply evenly. 2 coats of carefully applied Whimsical over the pale blue franken.

I totally feel like an Easter egg with this mani...and I do love Easter (plus those malted milk ball candies that look like this!)

OK, Next... Nail-venturous Voodoo Doll. A friend shared her bottle of this polish with me and I really love it! Totally opposite feel than Whimsical...one is light and fun, the other is dark and mysterious.

2 coats of NV VD over a medium grey franken of mine. This polish is topcoat hungry!  2 thick coats of SV and still a bit bumpy...

So what do YOU think....If you had to choose between these two manis, which would you choose?

For some weird reason, 2 of my last 3 mani's have had "pop-offs"...the whole of the nail polish came off in one fell swoop...left my naked nail behind without even a backwards glance. I'm not sure what the deal was, but I think it was the polishes interacting with each other....It was Nirvana butterflies and the Voodoo doll manis! Cross your fingers for Whimsical...

Oh, Baby! (spam alert)

I found Pure Ice Oh Baby at Walmart purely by chance and I loved it on sigh...reminded me of Pure Ice Busted and Pure Ice Heartbreaker. All 3 are lovely, sparkly layering topcoats.

I layered this lovely polish over Catrice New York (thank-you for this polish, Buzzwheedle!).

2 coats of CNY
Egh...dry fingers...obviously no moisturizers...

One coat of Pure Ice Oh, Baby

Under the Ott light, above...Below...trying to catch that elusive pink sparkle..but wow, even in low light it sparkles amazingly...

YAY! I caught the pink! lookie....

Click on these and check out the close-up

Here is the bottle shot...this polish is so amazing!
